Day 5: Fully Playable!
Analogue Awakening » Devlog
Title spoiled this update but yes! The three core levels exist in playable states! Each job has its core photograph in the selection screen, the item is in the scene, and each item has at least one interaction before the item can be operated.
Which means, that everything from this point on is bonus/stretch content!
Alongside the previous, I have also added the following:
- Rain particles for the title screen/store outside.
- Title screen foreground and store background have been turned into separate layers to allow the dust particles to move between the layers. Foreground also mentions the fact that the store is for repairs (so people understand what they're getting into when they enter the store.)
- Changed the brush sweeping sound to something far less aggravating and harsh.
- Collisions have been altered for most objects to be more precise, but not unforgiving enough that you need to be pixel perfect.
- Invoices graphics have been adjusted so that not every item fixed pays $50 - I fired the accountants for this, I can't believe they missed this!
- Lighting! Using GDevelop's built in light system to create a more polished look.
To set goals for tomorrow, my intention is to add more obstacles to the final level at the very least. As a stretch goal, I would like to also include the creation of the true "End" of the game. I have a super secret list of additional smaller stretch goals, and I'd love to be able to cross off at least one of these.
Until tomorrow! Happy repairing!
